tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-80363639993883385612011-07-30T22:51:55.466-07:00Pastor Sidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16758117558892698447noreply@blogger.comBlogger21100tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8036363999388338561.post-38415239203373037792010-02-09T13:21:00.000-08:002010-02-09T13:21:55.589-08:00This winter Corey received word that he was accepted into a cooperative education position in Huntsville, Alabama.&nbsp; We were thrilled with the news and the learning opportunities it will bring.&nbsp; The only problem was housing.&nbsp; Where would Corey stay for the months he was in Alabama rather than at college.<br /><br />We prayed that the Lord would open up the right housing for Corey.&nbsp; After much prayer and thought, we decided that we would contact&nbsp;three United Methodist Churches in the Huntsville area to see if anyone would be willing to take in a boarder every other semester.&nbsp; Within a week, we had an email from a family in Huntsville that was willing to allow Corey to live with them for the time periods he would be in Huntsville.&nbsp; From all of our correspondence we can see that this family is a great fit for Corey.&nbsp; <br /><br />Once again we are amazed at how well the Lord provides!&nbsp; God is so good!&nbsp; God is so good at working out all the details of our life if we will just trust and let Him do it!&nbsp; Yes, we had to step out in faith and make contact with the churches, but God did the rest!&nbsp; I just want to thank God for his goodness and for answering our prayers.&nbsp; Thank you, God!<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/8036363999388338561-3841523920337303779?l=havanafirstumc.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Pastor Sidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16758117558892698447noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8036363999388338561.post-43286084529731972522009-12-04T08:07:00.000-08:002009-12-04T08:16:21.884-08:00What a busy week we've had. On Tuesday we installed new front doors as well as began installation of our new video system. On Wednesday we finished the video installation. On Thursday we celebrated the life and resurrection of Gene Oney. Sunday is Confirmation Sunday. Of course we also have had our normal activities like scouts, UM Women, UM Men, Hearts at Home, supervised visitations for local families, Weight Watchers, Children's Christmas Program Practice, Choir/Cantata Practice, and on and on!! We are an active church and have an active ministry! I am thrilled to be part of such a vibrant and vital ministry in this community!<br /><br />If you do not have a church home, I invite you to check out our church.
